
Skagit Valley College’s GlobalFest 2010 will conclude with a free Benefit Concert for Haiti on Thursday, March 4, 2010, 7 p.m., at McIntyre Hall.
The free concert will feature some of the top musical talent and regional favorites of Skagit Valley College and the surrounding communities.
Among the artists donating their time and talent to help the relief and recovery effort in Haiti are: Juba Marimba, The South Side North Fork Band, Maggie’s Fury, Prozac Mountain Boys, Ancient Sounds of the Didgeridoo with Dr. Ernest Tutt, and the solo guitar of Moroccan student Mehdi Makraz.
A cash bar serving beer, wine, soft drinks and snacks will be available.
All voluntary donations at the event will go to the American Red Cross to support their relief and recovery efforts in Haiti.
