
Skagit Valley College is pleased to announce that Rick Steves, author and travel expert, will kick off SVC's GlobalFest 2010 on Tuesday, February 9 at 7:30 p.m. in McIntyre Hall, which is located at SVC's Mount Vernon Campus. Admission is free to Rick Steves' presentation, "Travel As A Political Act," however tickets are required.
Festival Seating: Free with ticket.
The author of over 30 European travel guidebooks and host of a national public television series, Rick feels that travel helps us "challenge truths we were raised to think were selfevident and God-given." Rick shares how the other 96 percent of humanity sees our nation naturally out of his travel experiences.

Rick Steves' Travel as a Political Act ($16.95) and DVD Iran ($19.95) can be purchased for a limited time at the Cardinal Bookstore, both in Mount Vernon and Oak Harbor. Rick will be available to sign copies of his book following the event.
