Mount Vernon Campus - Science Club Bake Sale - GET YOUR YUM ON!

Bring your appetite!

The Science Club is hosting a fall bake sale featuring home-made goodies from science students and faculty.
Proceeds from the bake sale will allow the Science Club to continue their “Science Van” outreach to local elementary schools.
You will find the Science Club students from mid-morning to early afternoon, Wednesday October 29 , Thursday October 30 , and Friday October 31 , in the Student Lounge outside the cafeteria.

District Wide - Papermaking Workshop - November 1 and 2


Papermaking workshop with visting artist Esteban Silva.


Esteban Silva makes paper from the invasive Water Hyacinth that is destroying Lake Patzcuaro near his home in Huecorio, Michoacan. He is sharing his knowledge and activism through creative action in an exhibition in the SVC Gallery and in the upcoming workshop and discussion.

Event Information
A Swing Dance to benefit the music department. Live music will be provided by the 12 member band Skagit Swings. Dance lesson will be offered at 7:30. This is an all age event.

Costumes are encouraged but not required.

Snacks and beverages including beer and wine will be available.

Transportation is available from the Mount Vernon campus for those who are interested.
Please contact Laura Morris to sign up. You must sign up to ride in the college van.
Van will leave campus at 7:00 and will return at 11:00 pm.
