Dear students,
In March we sent out an email about joining the test group for MySVCAlerts. For those of you that signed up, we appreciate your help in testing the system, and there will be one final test message soon. If you have not signed up yet or were not here at the time of the previous
email, please see the following for more information about the MySVCAlerts system: As part of Skagit Valley College's Emergency Preparedness plan, we will soon be offering an emergency alert system as part of the MySVC suite of tools.
This system will send you pertinent information from the president of SVC to your MySVC email address, and optionally a personal email address and a mobile phone/device. You will NOT receive advertising or other casual messages via this system, and we will not share your information with anyone else.
You can begin receiving alerts by signing up your personal (not MySVC) email and/or mobile phone/device here:https://secure.skagit.edu/emercont.asp You will need to login with your SVC SID and PIN as with the other MySVC secure account tools.
We offer messaging services without charge, however you should be aware of any fees and charges that may be incurred by your service provider for services such as receiving text messages or e-mails on a mobile device. Thank you for helping us with this service, which will improve communication with you in critical situations. Please note you may receive one or more test messages after you sign up.
